Quarterly News VOL.14 The Final Edition

SDC19476The past four months have been pretty consistent and incredible. The month of April brought us two incredible shows. One at Club KARIB in St. Albans and the other at On Tap in Essex. Both shows were well over 200 in attendance and rocked the socks off all willing to come and get JUSTIFIED.

SDC19620SDC19761May brought us to two new places. Whitcombs’ barn took a chance on us and were not disappointed. We sold out the show in a little over three weeks. It was hard to compete with the stellar food being served, but once the bellies were full and the suds started flowing, it was full on party. The end of the month we played at 14th Star Brewery in St. Albans. A huge storm rolled in on this day before Memorial Day. Playing to a jam packed house, we kept the thunder rolling and made a lasting impression on a few hundred people. It was a great time for sure and a time for remembrance of our fallen soldiers and pay thanks to those currently serving.

13394199_1092595937430082_2822044421986764871_nJune was a wild month. Played to a jam packed Backstage Bar and Restaurant, followed by a return to an outdoor gig at the Alburgh American Legion. Much better weather and a much better turnout (over 200). We took a week to rest and let it all hang out on the sold out Three Hour Tour II. Todd Dunn (former lead guitarist of the band) was in the crowd (of 350) taking candid photos of anyone and everyone. Alongside was Patrick Ashton of Anxiety LLC, also capturing some of the greatest moments of the early summer. The weather….. perfect! Dead calm water and 80 degree air temp.13394055_1096288623727480_6903109560892139303_n

July was a washout. We were rained out for the second time at Breakwaters and Raftapalooza 2016 was predicted to have a 60% chance of storms. Jeremy Dewyea and Scott G. called off the band playing on the Thursday before due to this forecast. There was no sense in JD investing his hard earned money in building a stage if it was going to storm. We did not want to take the chance with our gear either. It was a good decision, as a rain came early, followed by a huge storm that would have wiped us out.

Looking ahead, we have The Franklin County Field days next week Saturday 8/6. Keeping it local, we’ll be at Club KARIB in St. Albans 8/13 and round out the month at Breakwaters (weather pending). September we will be having an end to the summer 2016 bash at Backstage. This is our only show in September, so get your liver rested. We hit HD Campbells’ barn at the beginning of October for the one and only time this year. We urge you to plan accordingly. Doors open at 7PM and we play at 8PM. The final gig of the month is a scary one. A Halloween Extravaganza at the Sugar House (formerly Franny O’s). Since the remodel and new ownership, we felt it was time to properly JUSTIFY the place. What better time, than Halloween!

November has us at Backstage for the final time in 2016 and we will be playing for the first time, the night before Thanksgiving at Club KARIB in St. Albans. We round out the year at On Tap on December 10th , where we will wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Writing this newsletter has been awesome and it allows me/us to reflect on what has happened and the fun times had by all of us. While it is the end of the Quarterly newsletter, it is not the end of our updates here on the website, nor the awesome pictures. We will still have write-ups from the shows, the awesome pictures you are all accustomed too (thanks to Jen Foley, Vickie Allen and Patrick Ashton) over the years.
